感知觉衍生偏见是一种心理现象，属于交易心理学的范畴。作为交易本能之一，更具体地说——是三种本能之一，这种偏见是指我们用来形成意见的信息是有偏差的。
其中比较明显的挑战是，意识到我们认为是事实的信息，实际上可能深陷于某种形式的偏见之中。如果考虑到我们使用周围的信息来进行日常的运行或是获取特定的知识，这一点尤其值得关注。
对于交易来说，信息来源和信息传递一样极为重要。例如，一个交易者可能通过关注某个特定的媒体来监测市场。基于特定媒体每天向其受众提供的信息，交易者可能根据他/她认定是事实的内容形成特定的意见。
但交易者可能没有意识到的是，媒体渠道可能会根据他们自身的偏见来呈现某些信息，这反过来会影响受众的意见。
如果只呈现故事的一面性，这种情况会更加严重。如果一个人只听到故事的一部分，而没有任何相反的证据，这种情况越严重，那么最终这个故事就有可能变成关于这个主题的唯一实际立场。而因为缺少相反的证据，这就形成了有偏见的观点。
